Kurt Rozelle grew up in South Orange County surrounded by community parks, bike paths and a carefree friendly outdoor environment which is evident with his passion for nature.

Kurt became interested in photography in high school when as a sophomore he had to choose between two years of a fine art or a foreign language. He chose a language - the language of art expressed through photography. Kurt was instantly hooked and consequently took 15 courses during high school and college. The highlight of his studies was being taught by John Upton the world renowned photographer who was a student of Ansel Adams, Imogen Cunningham, Minor White, and Edward Weston.

Kurt made the transition in 2004 from film to digital format. This timely switch sparked a creative infusion that further enhanced his technical skills and Kurt's current photographic style. In the early part of 2005, his photographic interests evolved into an intense passion to capture the everyday natural world around him.

As a photographer Kurt Rozelle has a humble way of capturing the details of nature while displaying the grandeur. His artistic expression blends clarity and the visual delicacies of nature. Many of his photos show a childlike simplicity, uncluttered landscapes, consistent vibrant colors that are reminiscent of His early childhood love for backyard gardening and his hours spent among the flowers, edibles, and garden creatures.

Kurt Rozelle says, "Photography is an expression of gratitude for viewing life in light of its beauty."
